Each marching season, the Silver Sound builds an original show — choreographed, scored, costumed — and refines it from August through November. Watch this year's program on the YouTube channel, then come see it live at home games and at the East Lake Classic.
The East Lake High School Band Program comprises the Silver Sound Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and Winter Guard. Under the direction of Mr. Ian Black, our students earn Superior ratings at FBA District 9 MPAs and represent East Lake at the Tarpon Springs Outdoor Music Festival, the East Lake Classic, FFCC and FMBC competitions across the state.
Beyond the field, our students lead. The average GPA of a Silver Sound member is over 3.5. Members earn All-County, Solo & Ensemble Superiors, Tri-M Honors, and Bright Futures eligibility through service tutoring at East Lake Middle School.

The award-winning Silver Sound performs the halftime show at every home football game and competes throughout fall at Seminole Sound, Tarpon Springs Outdoor Music Festival, the East Lake Classic, and FBA District 9 MPAs. Color Guard performs alongside.
